Cosplay Policy Update

Our team has reviewed the feedback on the previous Cosplay Policy and understand that it was poorly worded, despite best intentions to ensure a fun, and safe event. We would like to sincerely apologise to every individuals who was impacted by the language and wording. As SMASH! is a family-friendly event, the exposure guideline was designed to fit each person's unique body shape, not just one type.

SMASH! as both an organisation and a community are advocates for inclusivity, ensuring that all races, cultures, genders, sexualities, and religions are respected. As a standard; we ask that both attendees and those arriving in cosplay - are to avoid wearing overly revealing or offensive costumes. Examples such as: attire less than a standard swimsuit, offensive slogans, hateful symbols, or displaying any explicit NSFW images.

If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact us via our Contact page or email contactus@smash.org.au

Again, we appreciate the feedback and are thankful for all the ongoing support for SMASH! to make our event and community more diverse and inclusive for all.

See you all in 10 days!
